I am not a shitbag human

I don’t care what

Luther thinks of me.

You, are not a shitbag

and I still don’t care

what Luther thinks of you.

We are not shitbags

I don’t care what

Luther thinks about us.

When we came on the scene

it was said, that we were

“very good”

There was no, “oh dear,

what is that stench?”

I therefore state, before

you, that we are not

clothed with regret, or

Divine disdain.

There are even days

when I feel good about

myself, about us too,

There are days when

I know you feel good

about yourself.

Linger a while with that truth.

There are even days

when I feel good about

the things we do together.

To be naked and unashamed

means that we do not

need to hide behind

theological fig leaves.

You are beautiful and

what you do is…

transcend Luther’s judgment

and leave him to his own self-loathing.
