POETRY - NAKED NOW

(Image: Sunrise over misty trees)

Naked Now

Be naked in the naked now,

don’t judge what you see

just be...naked.

And then turn your gaze

on the naked now.

Look around you at this silent Presence

this reality of being...and be.

Listen to the sounds around you and don’t judge

between the natural sounds and the mechanical sounds

of engine noise; cars, trains, planes.

The sky bluing, whiting, greying, raining, pitter-pattering on the ground.

The trees and hedges greening, yellowing, browning, falling and feeding the loam of earth.

And then listen for the one sound that created all others.

Just listen. Just be in the naked now and call time on all the distractions of judgments, of troubles, problems, accusations and insinuations.

And

just

be...

Thankful for this, now...of the naked now.

(This is sensual, this is spiritual and when there’s no difference between the two, you have quietened the ego-mind and allowed the heart, the time to be).

And so

just...

be.
